Mmm... Dave Gahan solo album.
It is a rare thing for me to anticipate purchasing a CD, but I am so looking forward to listening to "Paper Monsters", though I'll probably have to wait till I get back in the country to buy it (release is June 2). I'm also hoping that Gahan's US tour stops in either Houston or San Antonio (an Austin performance is doubtful). So far, I've heard some good things about the album; I've also heard it's very different than Depeche Mode's usual fare. But I don't care. I'd pay to listen to Dave Gahan sing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". Also on my musical anticipation list is Martin Gore's second solo project, "Counterfeit 2" -- which fortunately I will be able to enjoy before I leave the country.
Yes, it's a good year for us Depeche Mode fans. :)
