Friday Five time:
1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)? I have to say novels. I like poetry and nonfiction, but definitely enjoy novels more.
2. What is your favorite novel? This can't be right -- I'd swear this question was asking me to pick one favorite novel. Yeah, right. I think I might be able to narrow it down to the novels I've read (or re-read) and most enjoyed over the past year, which would include The Two Towers, The Book of the Long Sun, and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.
3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!) I can't say it's my one favorite, but I've always, always liked T.S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock".
4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read? Like, everything.
5. What are you currently reading? Gormenghast by Mervyn Peake, and enjoying it immensely. Peake's use of language thrills me to no end -- and the characters and the imagery are so marvelously constructed. Good stuff. :)
