Farewell to '04
I'm now connected to my modem via the scary super-long ethernet cable that stretches across my apartment, as opposed to my wireless router (which, apparently, has something screwy going on with it. Must rectify this situation.)
Although my car is still as filthy as it was before, I did make a quick run to the grocery store, and am now equipped with wine to ring in the new year. No champagne, since it seems like something you should be drinking in the company of friends, and I am home alone on New Year's Eve.
It's okay, though. It's quiet and... quiet.
I suppose this would be the place where I do a year-in-review thing, but frankly, there's not much to talk about. So instead, let's look at New Year's Resolutions, which I normally do not make. But in the spirit of the Christmas season -- and in the ongoing wake of my current struggles -- I have promised myself to do (at least) three things this year:
1. Pray daily.
2. Make more time to read and meditate on Scripture.
3. Find a way to serve in my parish.
Right then. Such are the goals for 2005.
I've been playing with the digital camera I got for Christmas today -- so far, I suck, but eventually I should have some pics to share -- or at least update all my art pages with better photos.
After having been distracted by other things during the last few weeks, I still need to catch up with people's wishlists. My lovely flist doesn't care if their gifts are late, right? It's the thought that counts, right? And we are still in the midst of the Christmas season. :)
I think that's about all for now. Happy 2005, everyone.
