Ten Second Update

I'm sick with a cold. I feel miserable. *cries*

Our Starbucks is becoming one of the new Hear Music media bars -- you know, the new thing where Starbucks patrons can now also burn CDs for something like 10 bucks a pop? Yeah. Guess who has to waste three hours of her life training for this tonight. *sighs*

School keeps me busy, like, all of the time. Not a week goes by without some test or paper due. Advanced Painting is hard. My Shakespeare class sucks. *whinges*

Advising is now done. I have 12 credit hours left to take, then I graduate. *freaks out*

The senior seminars I wanted to take were either full -- or, in the case of the one that I really wanted, an honours course, so I'm restricted from it. But maybe I can do some finagling and get in. *hopes*

So, my senior seminar as of now: "War, Literature and the Arts". Which I suppose will be okay, except I know Hemmingway is going to be on the list. *pukes*

I was pumped to see that a course called "Language and Communcation in Science Fiction" was being offered this semester. Then, I noticed that it is restricted to NON-English majors. WTF? Because, what, English majors are all supposed to be obsessed with Hemmingway or something? Heaven forbid we get credit for studying science fiction as literature! No, no, we can't have that. *rants*

And where the hell is Steinbeck in my college classes, huh? Do I have to take one of those broad all-encompassing American literature courses in order to study Steinbeck? Even "The American Novel After 1920" doesn't have him on the list. *complains*

Thus endeth the update. I am now going to take more cold medicine and a nap, in that order. *wanders off*
