*happy dance*
Last time I posted something about the upcoming The Phantom of the Opera movie (which finally has something of an official site, thank goodness -- and the photos there look pretty good too, but I digress), it was a link to what is arguably the Worst Trailer EVAR.
I admit, I was disheartened by that paltry excuse for a trailer. It left me with less hope for the film itself.
However...
Today, I uncovered a link to SCADS of pictures on a Mexican fansite. Scads of wonderful, gorgeous pictures. Pictures where you can actually feel the tension and mood. Marvellous, marvellous pictures.
I nearly exploded from Teh Pretty.
Oh, who am I kidding? Nearly?
*explodes*
Anyway, those of you who have any interest in this film should check them out. I am somewhat disappointed by the costume change in "Past the Point of No Return" (part of the reason it's so sexy and dark and wonderful is because the Phantom is completely hidden underneath this hooded black cloak) but I'm very interested in the addition of a swordfight (woo, swords!) in the graveyard scene.
And I have to admit that Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler look like they have the right chemistry as Christine and the Phantom. Well, except that Butler maybe appears too... capable and sane. I like a Phantom with a liberal dose of social dysfunction and mental unbalance, myself.
I know I'm setting myself up for disappointment, but... I'm all excited about it, anyway. Yay!
