It seems that whatever concerns I had regarding my Shakespeare professor's grading criteria were too hasty or premature; I just got my last paper back, full of complimentary commentary and a grade of A, and nary a dash was circled.
The Scholarship Snafu continues; I am currently awaiting a reply from the English advisor, who was supposed to speak with the scholarship person, and decide whether they could award me the full scholarship in the spring, when my "new" status as an English major will officially go into effect.
