A highly biased and selective look at the college life of Teri

So the writing contest and the Fania Krueger Fellowship were both a total bust. Oh well. Better luck next year, I suppose.

Some of you have heard my incessant whinging of late, about my Plot Woes. If I've never mentioned it before, I'll say it now: I suck at story ideas. I really do. And it is incredibly frustrating, because consistently coming up short makes me wonder, Why do I want to write if I don't have anything to say? Yet, I think I do have things to say, I just have a lot of trouble coming up with plots in which to say them.

One of my goals for the summer is to write short stories. Like, maybe one every two weeks. Regardless of whether they are crap, or not: just write them until something works. Then, eventually, when I have something that resembles a body of work that I can bear to reread without cringing, I'll start sending things to magazines and see what happens there.

I will. Really. Hey, don't give me that look. I don't procrastinate about everyth.... OK, well, I won't procrastinate about this! Seriously! Stop rolling your eyes!
