Random Musings

A highly biased and selective look at the college life of Teri

The following idea was blatantly gacked from Rebecca, who stole it from Liz. And I think I saw it somewhere else some time ago. But anyway.

Letters to the characters:

Dear Augustus,

I hate it when characters like you crop up out of nowhere and proceed to plague me for no reason. Just who do you think you are? You're supposed to be unobtrusive -- and further, you're not really even IN the next story! In fact, you won't show up again till For Services to the School, so try to go back to lurking, will you?

Sincerely,
Teri

Jode,

You'll be back, really.

Dear Cleo,

You are a stubborn, stubborn girl. And don't say I didn't warn you, because I will say, "I told you so".

I am sorry I can't let you have a spot in this next story, though. But I really do plan on giving you a short story all to yourself one of these days. Really. After all, you are my favorite, even if you're going through a bit of a stage right now. Don't tell anyone else I said that.

Love,
Teri

Dear Tom,

I apologize in advance. Look, if we could gloss over the whole ordeal, I'm sure we would, but it's a necessary part of your character development. Consider it a learning experience, and try not to murder us when it's over.

Also, just to keep things in perspective, you should remember that as an author, I technically have a lot more power than you do, and I will use it if necessary. Consider that a warning.

With tough love,
Teri

To all of my characters,

Why do you insist upon being muses now, instead of six months ago when I was NOT about to go abroad for six weeks? Really, it's not fair. Do you think you mind extending your "vacation" for a bit? Tom, Augustus -- it'll give you guys time to become better acquainted. And Cleopatra -- well, you'll find something to occupy yourself. You can find out what exactly is contained in those notes you have. And as for you minor characters, I promise you'll get some much-needed development once I return.

I'm instating a rule for all of you: For the next six weeks, none of you are allowed to freely converse with me unless I ask you to. Thank you.

Much love, even though you are all irksome right now,
Teri

Something tells me none of them are going to listen.
