OK, new template. I tried, really I did, to change from my usual color choice, and do something other than my typical neutral background -- but it seems that I can't force myself to have a blog with a big yellow or blue background. It also seems that I have something of a fondness for the orange/blue-green color scheme. In any case, the new background is a detail from Canaletto's The Grand Canal and the Church of the Salute, which is the first painting I've featured on my blog that I have seen in real life. It's in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. When I go to Venice, I'll see the Grand Canal and the church in real life, as well.
