A highly biased and selective look at the college life of Teri

Believe it or not, I actually did manage to accomplish some packing today. Go me! I have two boxes, one full of clothes, and one full of books, although I realize now that I put my sketchbook on the bottom of the box, which was rather stupid of me, and I'm debating whether or not I really want to dig for it.

In other news, I have discovered a new coffee drink. This is momentous. Those of you who took the friend test (mine is now defunct, I'm afraid) from a few months back will recall that my favorite coffee is a hazelnut latte. I swear by the hazelnut latte. Iced or hot, it's all good. Even the White Chocolate Delight pales in comparison to the delicious simplicity of a hazelnut latte.

But wonder of wonders, I have found something just as good, or possibly even better: an "alpine mocha" frappe.

Now, I'm not usually a huge fan of frappes -- I find them rather bland and often too icy -- but this is sooo good. It's a mocha frappe plus a shot of creme de menthe-flavored syrup, and it tastes like an Andes mint. With coffee. Yum. Go to your local coffee shop and ask for that. Seriously. I'll be drinking frappes a lot more often now.

In fact, getting that frappe almost made it worth it that I had to work for a few hours on my day off. Plus I got to see a few regular customers whom I haven't talked to in some time. There is a lovely couple who comes into the coffee shop every week or so, and they have the cutest little girl. And she looks uncannily like the kid who played Scully's daughter, Emily, on The X-Files. So guess what this girl's name is?

Emily. For real.

Just thought I'd share that. At least one of you ought to appreciate it.
