Here's today's bit of pointlessness: the Friday Five.
1. Where were you born? Corpus Christi, Texas.
2. If you still live there, where would you rather move to? If you don't live there, do you want to move back? Why or why not? By the time I was six years old, I was in Slidell, Louisiana, and grew up there, so of course moving back to Corpus Christi isn't on my list of things I'd like to do. For a long time after moving to Tomball, though, I wanted desperately to go back to Louisiana. At the moment, I'm quite happy in Texas -- provided it's Austin, Texas, and not Tomball.
3. Where in the world do you feel the safest? I don't think I've ever really felt unsafe, anywhere I've lived. OK. So I lead a sheltered life.
4. Do you feel you are well-traveled? No. In fact, I feel my travel knowledge is one of the things I really ought to improve -- not just because it's fun, but because it's good to visit and experience other places and societies. Even if that society is a part of one's own country -- New York or San Diego are much different than Houston or New Orleans! This is part of the reason I really want to study in Italy next year.
5. Where is the most interesting place you've been? I visited some very cool and rather obscure Toltec ruins near Veracruz, Mexico, a couple of years ago. That was neat. And the San Diego Comic-Con is always interesting, to say the least...
Anyway. So, now that I've wasted fifteen minutes with that, I'm going to force myself to start packing. No, really. I am. Stop laughing!
