The par-tay...

...was a lot of fun, even if I did end up getting soaked and then forced to walk around in wet clothes for the rest of the night. Of course, everyone else was in the same predicament, so it wasn't so bad.

I started off the night by going to the wrong apartment complex. The best part is that the gate code given to us worked at this entirely different complex. Imagine that.

The rest of the night involved really excellent hamburgers, cheap vodka, talking and laughing, and dirty jokes. My co-workers are, evidently, surprised that I have a mind in the gutter. Personally I find this surprising because I'm sure I've made awful jokes in their presence before, and Micki can testify that I'm bad about it even when sober; however, it seems that any inhibitions I have with regard to making cracks about steam wands in front of my boss is lost after two drinks. But whatever.

Later on Jon tossed me into the pool -- but almost everyone else had been thrown in fully-clothed by that time (except for Anthony, who stripped to his boxers and jumped in). Then we sat in the hot tub and convinced some Britney-loving teenaged kids that we were making a Starbucks expose documentary called "Venti-Size Me" and our little party was part of it.

Shortly after, we were kicked out of the pool because the teenaged kids were being noisy, and we spent the rest of the evening in the clubhouse, snacking on the leftover food or sitting outside.

A good time was had by all.

ETA for Mom: No, I did not drive home whilst still under the influence of alcoholic substances. Had I been inebriated, I would have either stayed the night or got someone to drive me home (as I did on my birthday). And do keep in mind that I was probably the most sober of the lot that were still there by the time I left. This message has been brought to you by the Responsible Daughters of America.

See, it's worth making the naughty jokes, because mine are actually *funny*. :)
