I awoke early this morning with a crick in my neck, having fallen asleep on the sofa last night. Naturally, on my way to bed, I had to at least check my e-mail. I discovered that my computer had strangely managed to restart itself spontaneously during the night.
And then, as I was pondering this mystery, my not-set alarm went off at 5:45 and scared me half to death.
It's official, people. My electronics are possessed. And now I'm wide awake -- gah.
In other news, that long-expected day has come: a co-worker has discovered my blog. And by "discovered" I mean "looked me up online after I told her that searching my name on Google yielded interesting things". This is OK, though, as I've sworn her to secrecy about the work-related rants and/or egotrips. Plus I've converted her to blogging! Hope earned lifetime coolness the other day by indulging in an hour of X-Files squee and fond remembrance with me... and then by not complaining when the safe freaked out and deafeningly beeped at us for twenty minutes, or when I got frustrated and started yelling at the computer.
The Safe Incident was, however, the first and only time that I have had a big problem and got out late. On the other hand, I did manage to solve it (no thanks to the guy at the help line... what a dweeb) and didn't have to go next door and get Jon to help, or call my manager at eleven o'clock at night.
