And I thought "Every Day Magic" was bad...
This afternoon at work I noticed the drive-through board magnet containing the newest promotional slogan, which is supposed to encourage customers to purchase the sugar-free vanilla nonfat latte (blech!). It read as follows:
"My drink is a VICTORY for the angel on my shoulder. I've got resolutions to keep!"
It was then that I decided that Starbucks' promotional slogan writers all need to be shot.
On that note, Happy New Year to everyone. I'm not really a resolution-making kind of girl, but I do have a few tangible goals that I've set for the near future, mostly involving writing (for a local literary magazine/newsletter) and beta-reading (for Erica and Natasha, the ever-patient authors). I'd like to at least start in on all this stuff before I have to go back to school.
So anyway... So long, 2003. I hope 2004 isn't quite as filled with manic highs and lows and emotional maelstroms. I'd like a quieter pace.
