Had a pretty decent critique of these three works today. My professor thinks I've improved considerably in my use of color and diminishing of graphic elements, and advised me to pay more attention to edge quality, mark-making and "segueway" between object boundaries (sleeve to arm, leg to chair, etc). :) All good and accurate criticisms, so I was pleased.
My self-portrait was described as "a cross between a senior picture, and the cover of a romance novel". Hee!
