A highly biased and selective look at the college life of Teri

I woke up at six this morning dreadfully sick and seriously questioning my ability to walk to the bus stop. Based on that information, I made the decision to stay home from class on the fourth class day, which I'm sure has done absolutely nothing to for my painting instructor's first impression of me -- but there was no way I could handle the turpentine fumes when just the smell of Micki making coffee was enough to send me retreating into my room again. So I went back to sleep for another few hours, and now I feel fine. It's rather bizarre -- but I guess it's good to be feeling better, since the last thing I need is to be ill, and I really didn't want to call in sick to work.

I have to find a four-hour chunk of time sometime this week in which I can hang out in a studio and do my painting homework. I wonder if that will actually be possible. Especially after missing class today, I'd like to have a homework assignment that actually looks decent. We'll see if that happens.

I'm off work tomorrow, but I really, really must get going on my Elizabethan literature journal, or else I'm going to shrivel and die in that class. My father thinks it's really great that I've at last found courses that offer me a challenge -- and it is wonderful -- but after a year and a half of breezing through easy classes, I've really grown used to not even trying. It's kind of sad, actually.

Though, at least I still have Astronomy... if nothing else, I can always skip that. ;)
