Today I talked with the travel agent who is handling the Study In Italy program's accounts about making my flight arrangements, since I'm not taking a simple round-trip like the rest of the students. I had the agent go ahead and look up a couple of options and see what this travel agency could do for me, but she also recommended that I investigate other places, and suggested an agency located on The Drag that usually gets good student discounts and fares. I'm going to wait for her quotes and then see if I can make better (i.e., cheaper) arrangements.

I dropped by Barnes and Noble on my way back home so I could take care of that little B&N gift card I got for Christmas. I almost got the pretty paperback of C.S. Lewis' Till We Have Faces, until I noticed the appalling price of $14.00. I'm not going to spend that much for paperback. Then I noticed that for a dollar more, I could get the hardback version of Anatomy for the Artist that I've wanted for a while, so my choice was made. Now I need to get another sketchbook...
