Having seen Lisa's post about buying her new laptop, and after browsing lustfully through Dell's website, I'm seriously considering dropping a hefty chunk of change and getting a new computer. Old Pokey here seems to be even slower than it was when I left for Europe. And, I mean, sure, I could probably back up my stuff, clear out the crap, defrag, and suchlike, and it would be much better -- but I'm ready for new and shiny and small and portable.
Any advice from the geeks out there? I admit that I pretty much suck when it comes to evaluating what I need with a computer. (Fortunately, it's not like I do this very often. ;))
