Mostly nothing
I have an essay and an essay test coming up this week. Perhaps I should start to, like, care.
Nah.
I've done almost nothing today. A lot of web-surfing and a little nap-taking, a minor amount of sketching (Maud Moody as Madame X -- or Madame S -- which mostly serves to illustrate my usual proportion and drapery problems. I do, however, love the idea of Maud with Madame X's profile -- it's hard for me to imagine her nose as being any other way after seeing the painting at the Met -- and I intend to get this rip-off idea right, eventually).
I'm watching the kitten watch the clock; she's apparently fascinated by the glowing green digital readout that changes every minute. Either that, or she knows I have to go to work in thirty minutes.
Opinion poll: Should I write my Czech Lit essay on "Human Identity in War with the Newts", "The Good Soldier Svejk: Stories within Stories", or approach my prof on Tuesday or in e-mail with the suggestion of a new topic: "Devils Take Thee: Repetition and Imitation in War with the Newts"?
Input wanted, even if it's entirely at random. I'm quite undecided. (Alec, I'm looking in your direction since you're the only person who may have a clue what I'm talking about.)
EDIT: The cat was not, in fact, fascinated by the clock; there was a ladybug over there. I think the kitten was actually just trying to eat it.
