OK, let's talk American Idol.
Last week, I said that I'd have liked to see Justin Guarini win; that opinion changed when I watched their final performances. Guarini is good, but Kelly Clarkson deserved to win. I think it's obvious that she's a naturally talented and versatile performer, and she truly does have a spectacular vocal ability; also she seems to be fairly gracious, and accepts both criticism and compliments well -- at least in front of the camera. I'm surprised that she actually did become the "American Idol" though; I thought for sure that the amount of teen girls watching the show and participating in the polls would make Guarini a shoo-in for the win. So I'm glad Clarkson won.
Heh. Like it really matters in the end; I'm not going to go out and buy the American Idol CD or anything.
But, will I be watching the next American Idol? Probably. Rebecca informed me that Simon Cowell will be back for more! He's getting paid one million dollars to judge the next Idol. Talk about a dream job; I know I'd like to be paid that kind of money to make sarcastic remarks and tell people that they suck. :)
