In case you were wondering, my job interview this afternoon went very well. In fact, the manager to whom I spoke told me flat-out that she wanted to hire me right away -- only the corporate policy is such that I have to go through two interviews. So, she's arranging another one for me later this week with a different manager, and hopefully I'll be working by next Monday. :)
A revised version of Character Witnesses is up; comments still welcome. I've heard many good things about story, so I'm quite pleased. Alec has been going on about it, which is flattering -- though I kind of think he just wants to reassure me that I'm not becoming totally dependent on a co-author. ;) But overall I'm glad that you guys seemed to enjoy it, especially considering I'm going to read this thing aloud tomorrow to a group of twenty-four people I don't know at all, including my professor, thus giving them a rather interesting, thought not inaccurate, first impression. It should be a... well, an experience. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about pitching this to a bunch of strangers.
Of course, anyone online who stumbles across this blog can read this story, and sundry other things I've posted about myself -- and that doesn't seem to bother me at all. It's the Anonymity of the Internet, I suppose. Plus the fact that no one from the Internet is going to give me a grade on it. :)
